What is the children's spectacle subsidy?

The Children's Spectacle Subsidy is a Ministry of Health payment to help families with the cost of certain vision services for eligible children 15 years of age and under.

The payment goes towards the cost of eye exams, glasses (frames and lenses), eye patches and repairs.

The subsidy may be claimed each year until the child turns 16 years old.
