What is the children's spectacle subsidy?

The Children's Spectacle Subsidy (spectacle subsidy) is a Ministry of Health contribution to help families with the cost of certain vision services for eligible children 15 years of age and under.

Children with vision problems may be able to get this subsidy for examinations, glasses (frames and lenses), eye patches and repairs.

You can claim the subsidy each year until the child turns 16 years old.
